For January 2018, the insurance companies of the Republic of Belarus received BYN101.5m of insurance premiums under direct insurance and co-insurance. The growth of receipt for January 2018 against the same period last year is 118.4%.
For January 2018, insurance premiums under voluntary classes of business amounted to BYN 68.3m, which is BYN12.6m more against the same period in year 2017.
Insurance premiums under compulsory classes of business for January 2018 amounted to BYN 33.2m, which is BYN3.2m more as compared with the same period in 2017.
A proportion of voluntary classes of business in the total amount of insurance premiums amounted to 67.3% (for January 2017 – 65.0%).
For January 2018, insurance indemnity payments and insurance payment coverage in total across the republic made 44.5 million roubles and exceeded this indicator for the similar period of 2017 by 5.3 million roubles. A proportion of insurance payments in the total sum of insurance premiums for January 2018 amounted to 43.8% (for January 2017 – 45.7%).
For January 2018, the insurance companies paid BYN 7.6m to the budget and non-budget funds (for January 2017 – BYN4.6m), including BYN3.4m as taxes and non-taxes payments to the budget, BYN4.2m as payments to the non-budget funds (for January 2017 – BYN 1.5m and BYN3.1m respectively).
Average number of employees of the insurance companies as at 1 February 2018 amounted to 8,976 people (as at 1 February 2017 – 8,954 people).
