For January – February 2018, the insurance companies of the Republic of Belarus received BYN199.6 m of insurance premiums under direct insurance and co-insurance. The growth of receipt for January – February 2018 against the same period last year is 126.5%.
For January – February 2018, insurance premiums under voluntary classes of business amounted to BYN 133.4m, which is BYN34.7m more against the same period in year 2017.
Insurance premiums under compulsory classes of business for January 2018 amounted to BYN 66.2m, which is BYN 7.1 m more as compared with the same period in 2017.
A proportion of voluntary classes of business in the total amount of insurance premiums amounted to 66.8% (for January – February 2017 – 62.5%).
For January – February 2018, insurance indemnity payments and insurance payment coverage in total across the republic made 90.6 million roubles and exceeded this indicator for the similar period of 2017 by 8.4 million roubles. A proportion of insurance payments in the total sum of insurance premiums for January – February 2018 amounted to 45.4% (for January – February 2017 – 52.1%).
For January February 2018, the insurance companies paid BYN 15.9 m to the budget and non-budget funds (for January – February 2017 – BYN 12.2m), including BYN 5.5 m as taxes and non-taxes payments to the budget, BYN10.4 m as payments to the non-budget funds (for January 2017 – BYN 3.8 m and BYN 8.4 m respectively).
Average number of employees of the insurance companies as at 1 March 2018 amounted to 9,018 people (as at 1 March 2017 – 8,960 people).
